About
Walshy is an artist and producer from Dublin, whose music sits somewhere between indie, soul and hip-hop. Built around warm guitars, off-kilter drums and everyday observations, his songs can be reflective, playful or somewhere in between, often within the same track.
His debut album few beers arrived in 2023, featuring collaborations with Curtisy, lowkick, XO LU and Pager The Sloth. The record was recognised by Hot Press as one of the year's standout Irish debuts, with tracks receiving support from Spotify's New Music Friday UK, RTÉ 2FM and BBC Introducing.
Since then, Walshy has continued to experiment with his sound, moving towards more expansive arrangements and live instrumentation. Recent releases including soulless, worth it and Cheers Man offer a glimpse into his forthcoming second album, which explores everything from guitar-driven indie to electronic production.
In 2026, he's bringing that music to the stage with a new full-band setup featuring drums, bass, violin and layered guitars, giving the songs a new life beyond the recordings. His second album is on the way, marking the next chapter of a project that's never been too concerned with sticking to one genre.
